Cisco began as a networking giant several decades back, then became a major player in storage before moving into other areas of IT including security. It trades on NASDAQ as CSCO.

Product Description

Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) is said to help IT gain awareness of everything hitting your network, provide detailed visibility into every point of access, control access from one place (wired, wireless, and VPN connections), set policy, and stop and contain threats.

Agents

An agent is deployed on Mac, Windows, Android, and Linux (CentOs and RedHat) for laptops/desktops, Windows Server, Linux Server, smartphones and tablets.

Markets and Use Cases

It is especially strong in banking, finance, government, healthcare, education, retail, and manufacturing.
